Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has been chosen as the new President of the UAE National Olympic Committee (NOC). He got this role by following the rules of the committee’s election process. The announcement was made during a big meeting in Dubai, where many sports leaders gathered.

After being elected, Sheikh Mansoor gave a speech to thank the UAE sports community for trusting him with this important role. He spoke about how sports leaders in the country have worked hard to help the UAE succeed in the Olympic Games. He also praised His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who was the President of the UAE Olympic Committee for 16 years. Sheikh Mansoor said that Sheikh Ahmed’s leadership helped UAE sports grow and achieve many great things.

Sheikh Mansoor said that the future of UAE sports depends on teamwork. During the meeting, officials also shared news that the International Olympic Committee had agreed to extend the time for the NOC Board of Directors to stay in their roles for the next Olympic cycle. The meeting also included discussions on financial plans and budgets to support upcoming Olympic competitions.

Another important event at the meeting was the signing of an agreement to set up offices for 21 national sports groups at the new NOC headquarters in Dubai. These groups manage different sports, both individual and team events. Bringing them together in one place will help make the UAE’s sports system stronger and more organized.
