The Knife Attack on Saif Ali Khan
Saif Ali Khan, 54, was attacked at his home in Bandra, Mumbai, on January 16. The incident happened during the early hours when an intruder broke into his house, attempting to rob the place. During the struggle, Saif was stabbed six times.
He suffered multiple injuries, including a serious wound near his neck and another near his spine. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where he underwent several surgeries.
Five days later, Saif was discharged from the hospital. Soon after, he made his first public appearance while promoting his upcoming Netflix film, Jewel Thief. Following the attack, security around his home was tightened. Saif and his wife, Kareena Kapoor, also requested paparazzi to avoid clicking pictures of their children for safety reasons.
Saif Calls It a Burglary Attempt Gone Wrong
After the incident, Saif shared that he does not plan to keep any weapons for extra security at home. He believes the attack was not planned but rather a robbery attempt that got out of hand.
In an interview, Saif said, "Nothing will change. I don’t feel threatened. It wasn’t a pre-planned attack. I think it was just a burglary attempt that went wrong. That poor guy’s life is probably in a worse place than mine now."
The man who attacked Saif was later caught by the police.
