RTA Launches New Circular Bus Routes Linking Dubai Hills to Equity Metro and DAMAC Hills to Dubai Studio City

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced two new circular public bus routes aimed at enhancing connectivity and easing commuting within the emirate. The DH1 route operates between Dubai Hills and Equity Metro Station, offering frequent services with intervals of one hour. Starting from Dubai Hills at 7:09 am on weekdays and running until 10:09 pm (with extended service until 12:09 am on weekends), this route aims to provide convenient transport options for residents and visitors alike.

Meanwhile, the DA2 route connects DAMAC Hills to Dubai Studio City, also operating on a circular basis with buses running every two hours. The service begins at 5:47 am from DAMAC Hills and continues until 9:32 pm daily. Passengers can enjoy a fixed fare of AED 5 per journey, ensuring affordable and accessible transportation between these two key residential and commercial areas.

Adel Mohammed Shakeri, Director of Planning and Business Development at RTA's Public Transport Agency, highlighted the strategic importance of these new routes in expanding Dubai's public transport network. He emphasized the RTA's commitment to providing efficient and seamless mobility solutions that integrate with various modes of transport, including metro, tram, and marine transport systems.

The introduction of DH1 and DA2 reflects RTA's ongoing efforts to improve urban mobility and cater to the growing transportation needs of Dubai's diverse communities. By enhancing connectivity between residential areas, commercial hubs, and major transport nodes like metro stations, RTA aims to promote sustainable and convenient travel options across the emirate.
