Dubai: The Medina Health Cluster has started an ambulance scooter service at the Prophet’s Mosque to help paramedics move quickly through large crowds and provide emergency care to people in need. This service was launched for Ramadan 2025 to make emergency medical help faster and more efficient during the busy Ramadan period.
During Ramadan, the Prophet’s Mosque gets crowded, and it can be difficult for regular ambulances to reach people in need of medical attention. The ambulance scooters are small and can easily move through the crowds, allowing paramedics to reach people in distress more quickly. Once they reach a person who needs help, the medical team can stabilize the patient right there before taking them to nearby hospitals or urgent care centers for more treatment.

Since the service started at the beginning of Ramadan, it has already helped 91 people. Those who need further care are transferred to hospitals and clinics in the area, such as Al Salam Endowment Hospital, Al Haram Hospital, and medical centers at Al Safiya and Bab Jibril.
This new service is an important step in improving emergency response and ensuring that people in need of medical care get the help they require as quickly as possible, especially during the busy Ramadan days at the mosque.
