In one video, a female passenger can be heard urging for police assistance, while a male voice suggests holding the pet owner accountable for the disruption caused to fellow travelers.

Following a concerted effort, the sugar glider was eventually apprehended. However, the pet owner faced consequences for breaching regulations. Shanghai Police International Airport Branch issued a statement on their Weibo account, revealing that the pet owner, identified as Ms. Guo, was arrested for violating transportation regulations by bringing the sugar glider on board the flight.

Ms. Guo was subsequently placed under administrative detention by the authorities. The police emphasized that her actions constituted a disturbance on public transportation, warranting legal repercussions.

Despite the delay, the flight eventually resumed its journey, departing Shanghai approximately an hour behind schedule. It safely landed at Ji'nan's Yaoqiang Airport, albeit 62 minutes past its originally scheduled arrival time.
