New U.S. route offers flights to London for just $299

Post by: Dr. Amrinder Pal Singh

Norse Atlantic Airways is set to make traveling from Las Vegas to London more convenient and affordable with the launch of a new route. Starting from September 12, the airline will operate three flights per week from London's Gatwick Airport to Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport.

In a playful nod to the luck often associated with Las Vegas, the flight will be designated as 'Z0777', incorporating Norse's lucky number seven. The direct route will span approximately 9 hours and 50 minutes, departing Las Vegas at 4:45 pm and arriving in London Gatwick at 10:35 am the following day, local time. Travelers will fly aboard a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO and Founder of Norse Atlantic Airways, expressed excitement about the new route, highlighting Las Vegas' unique offerings in entertainment, dining, and recreation. To celebrate the launch, the airline is offering one-way introductory fares starting at $299, with return flights from London to Las Vegas discounted to as low as $205.

It's worth noting that the discounted fares apply to Norse's Economy Light cabin, which includes only one personal item and incurs an additional fee for any changes. However, travelers have the option to upgrade to the premium cabin for added perks such as checked bags and priority boarding.

Travelers should be aware that the flights operate from London's Gatwick Airport, which provides convenient direct train access to various destinations, including London's Victoria station via the Gatwick Express.

With recent major events like Formula 1 Racing, the Super Bowl, and the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Las Vegas has experienced a surge in tourism and business travelers. In fact, the Las Vegas airport set a new record in 2023 with 57.6 million passengers, underscoring the city's popularity as a travel destination.
