Jio partners with Elon Musk's SpaceX to bring Starlink to India

Reliance Jio Platforms Limited has made a deal with SpaceX to bring Starlink’s internet service to India. This will help people get high-speed internet, even in faraway villages and towns.

Before the service can start, SpaceX must get permission from the Indian government. This deal happened just one day after another telecom company in India also signed a similar agreement with SpaceX.

Mathew Oommen, the head of Jio, said this partnership is a big step toward better internet in India. He said Starlink will help Jio’s internet services reach more people, making the internet stronger and easier to use. He also said this will help small businesses and communities grow.

With this agreement, Jio and SpaceX will work together to see how Starlink’s satellite internet can improve Jio’s services. Jio will also help SpaceX offer internet directly to customers and businesses.
