The husband of the Filipina who tragically perished in the recent Sharjah fire has been discharged from the hospital and awaits repatriation with his wife's remains, confirmed by the Philippine labour attaché in Dubai. While the couple's identities remain undisclosed, labour attaché John Rio A. Bautista assured that "the husband of the deceased victim is now safe and has already been discharged from the hospital." Reports indicate that the expat husband is eager to recuperate swiftly, expressing a desire to personally bring his wife home.

According to Hans Leo Cacdac, officer-in-charge of the Department of Migrant Workers in Manila, the husband's determination to recover was partly fueled by his late wife's memory, motivating him to prioritize his well-being. The Philippine Consulate-General (PCG) and Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Dubai are actively aiding the husband in completing the necessary documentation for his wife's repatriation. Financial assistance for the repatriation process and support for affected Filipino victims of the fire have been provided by the MWO and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).
With most affected individuals having returned to their residences, the aftermath of the devastating fire continues to be felt. The fire, which broke out in a high-rise residential building in Sharjah's Al Nadha area on April 4, claimed five lives and left 44 injured. Among the casualties was an unidentified Filipina, and 10 other Filipinos, including two children, were also affected by the blaze.
