The Emirates Group and the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) marked a significant milestone today with the graduation ceremony held at the Group's Headquarters, honoring 32 Emirati outstation managers who completed the bespoke Commercial Ambassador Leadership Programme. Led by Emirates’ Training & Development team, this programme aimed to enhance the participants' leadership, negotiation, and diplomatic skills over the past year.
Key dignitaries including Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President of Passenger Sales and Country Management, Oliver Grohmann, Executive Vice President of Human Resources, Amira Al Falasi, Vice President of Training & Development at Emirates, and Dr. Mohammed Al Dhaheri, Deputy Director General of Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy, graced the ceremony alongside senior executives and managers from both Emirates and AGDA.

Adnan Kazim emphasized the programme’s role in bolstering UAE’s cadre of country managers, enabling them to effectively navigate international relations and represent Emirates with excellence worldwide. He expressed pride in the managers’ accomplishments and highlighted the collaborative effort with AGDA in shaping future leaders.
Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Dhaheri echoed these sentiments, underscoring the successful partnership between AGDA and Emirates in equipping managers with essential diplomatic and leadership competencies. He emphasized the programme’s role in advancing the UAE’s strategic objectives and strengthening its global presence.
The Commercial Ambassador Leadership Programme was conducted in two phases. The first phase, held in 2023, featured comprehensive training sessions covering International Protocol and Etiquette, Global Trends & Issues, Negotiation & Influencing, UAE Economics and Commercial Diplomacy, Media Handling, and Communication and Intercultural Awareness. Participants rated this phase highly for its relevance and quality of content.
In 2024, the second phase focused on Media Skills and Etiquette Practices, aimed at enhancing managers’ confidence in media interactions and aligning messaging with Emirates’ commercial objectives.
Overall, the programme underscored Emirates’ commitment to developing capable Emirati leaders prepared to uphold the airline’s reputation and advance national interests globally. It reflects a strategic investment in talent development and international diplomacy, ensuring Emirates remains a leader in the aviation industry.
