Under this partnership, Avianca will affix its code to Emirates-operated flights connecting Barcelona, Madrid, or London Heathrow with Dubai. Avianca passengers will have the privilege of flying aboard Emirates' widebody aircraft, indulging in premium dining, reclining in lie-flat seats across premium cabins, and immersing themselves in an extensive array of entertainment options on Emirates' award-winning inflight entertainment system, which boasts over 6,500 channels, including Spanish-language content.
The collaboration extends beyond mere flight connectivity, as customers of both airlines stand to benefit from seamless travel arrangements, streamlined booking procedures, competitive fare options, and a unified baggage policy. This holistic approach aims to enhance the overall travel experience and ensure hassle-free journeys for passengers transiting between the networks of Emirates and Avianca.
Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing its potential to broaden both airlines' reach and cater to evolving customer preferences. He underscored the significance of offering Emirates' renowned services to Avianca's customers, while also facilitating seamless travel options for Emirates patrons exploring Colombia and beyond.
Echoing this sentiment, Claudio Vélez, Chief Revenue Officer at Avianca, hailed the collaboration as a testament to Avianca's commitment to fostering connectivity and expanding its global footprint. He lauded Emirates' stature as a premier airline and highlighted the strategic value of this partnership in bolstering Avianca's presence in key European hubs while enhancing access to Dubai and beyond for Latin American travellers.
With 161 commercial cooperation agreements already in place, Emirates continues to forge strategic alliances with like-minded partners, further solidifying its position as a global aviation leader committed to delivering unparalleled travel experiences.
