Egypt, Western Michigan University to Launch 2 Diplomas on Visual Impairment

Ataa Fund, linked to Egypt's Ministry of Social Solidarity, and Baseera Foundation have signed a deal to offer two diplomas. These diplomas will help people learn how to assist visually impaired individuals in education and daily life. The courses will be taught at Nile University, in cooperation with Western Michigan University.

The two diplomas are for becoming a "Visual Impairment Specialist" or an "Orientation and Mobility (O&M) Specialist." These programs will teach students how to help blind or visually impaired people live more independently.

The classes will be taught in both English and Arabic. Students will also get hands-on experience working at Baseera Foundation and other places that help visually impaired students.

Scholarships will be given by the Ataa Fund to people with disabilities. After finishing the courses, students can apply for certification from the American Accreditation Association (AAA).
