The first-ever Dubai AI Week is set to take place under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation. As part of this event, Polynome Events has announced the third edition of the ‘Machines Can See’ AI Summit, which will be held on April 23-24, 2025, at the Museum of the Future.
The summit will follow the theme ‘Good AI: Making the World a Safer Place’ and will feature 20 keynote speeches and panel discussions. Experts, innovators, and policymakers will come together to discuss how artificial intelligence is influencing different areas of life, such as robotics, self-driving vehicles, industry, art, and fashion.
A Unique Expo Experience
One of the key highlights of the event will be a special expo zone, which will be divided into three sections. During the two-day summit, visitors will get a chance to see the latest advancements in AI and robotics from around the world. There will also be a startup zone, giving new businesses a platform to showcase their AI innovations. Additionally, a section will be dedicated to UAE universities, highlighting the region’s contributions to AI research and development.

Saqr Binghalib, Executive Director at the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, said that the UAE is rapidly working towards becoming a global leader in AI innovation. He explained that the country is boosting partnerships and accelerating its AI efforts to drive growth and sustainability.
“Under its wise leadership, the UAE is using AI to create a stronger and more sustainable future. By encouraging smart technologies, the UAE hopes to become a model for digital transformation,” Binghalib said.
Alexander Khanin, Head of Polynome Events, shared the broader goal of the summit. He said that the event aims to bring together AI pioneers from around the world to strengthen the AI community in the Middle East. Khanin added that the summit will highlight AI’s current capabilities while also exploring how it can positively impact society in the future.
Global Insights on Talent and AI
The summit will also focus on how AI can attract and retain talent. Zhaslan Madiyev, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, will join a panel discussion titled ‘AI to Retain and Attract Talent.’ The session will explore how AI advancements can help prevent brain drain by creating more opportunities and making countries attractive for skilled professionals.
Diverse Range of Topics
The panel discussions will cover a wide range of topics, including how AI is transforming art and fashion, the challenges of adversarial machine learning, and opportunities for AI investments. Key speakers include Hadi Badri, CEO of Dubai Economic Development Corporation at DET, Rob van der Veer, Chief AI Officer at Software Improvement Group (SIG), and Paolo Benanti, Professor of AI Ethics at the Pontifical Gregorian University.
The summit will feature some of the biggest names in AI and technology, such as Gerard Medioni, Vice President and Distinguished Scientist at Amazon Prime Video & Studios, Dawn Song, Professor at UC Berkeley, Michael Bronstein, DeepMind Professor of AI at the University of Oxford, and Marc Pollefeys, Professor of Computer Science at ETH Zurich. Their insights will offer a deep dive into the evolving AI landscape and its impact on different industries.
The Fusion of AI and Art
One of the interesting sessions will focus on how AI is transforming art and creative expression. Mauro Martino, Creator and Director of the Visual AI Lab at IBM Research, will share how artificial intelligence is changing visual storytelling and artistic creativity. This discussion will highlight the growing connection between AI and the arts, showcasing how technology is helping artists explore new possibilities.
A Week of AI Innovation
The ‘Machines Can See 2025’ summit will be part of Dubai AI Week, which will feature a series of AI-focused activities throughout the city. The week will include discussions, competitions, and activations held at the Museum of the Future and AREA 2071 in Emirates Towers.
Organised by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence and overseen by the Dubai Future Foundation, Dubai AI Week will connect AI research with real-world applications. It will bring together experts, entrepreneurs, investors, and both public and private sector representatives to explore the enormous potential of artificial intelligence.
