DP World Foundation, the charity branch of DP World, has spent over AED 10 million on humanitarian projects during the holy month of Ramadan. These efforts have helped more than 100,000 people in the UAE, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Sub-Saharan Africa, and South Asia.
Helping Communities with Food and Healthcare
The Foundation worked with several organizations, including Dubai Maritime City (DMC), Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC), Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), UAE Food Bank, Euroleaf, ILT, and Noor Dubai Foundation. Together, they launched food and healthcare programs to support people in need.

Iftar Meals for Workers
As part of the Ramadan activities, the Foundation is distributing 360,000 iftar meals to workers in JAFZA throughout the holy month. More than 360 volunteers have dedicated their time, giving 1,083 hours to this effort. This shows the Foundation's strong commitment to helping the community.
Hundreds of JAFZA workers also received free eye tests to care for their health. Even the senior leadership team of DP World participated in the activities, showing their support.
Food Supply Boxes Across the Region
The Foundation distributed 1,000 food supply boxes at two locations in the UAE. In addition, 18,100 boxes were sent to 12 countries across the MENA region, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Pakistan.
Key distributions include:
15,300 people received food boxes in key locations:
2,500 boxes in Sokhna, Egypt.
2,000 boxes in Djazair, Algeria.
600 boxes in Djen Djen, Algeria.
7,500 beneficiaries in Karachi, Pakistan.
37,500 people were supported in areas like:
Bosaso, Somalia
Dakar, Senegal
Djibouti
Berbera, Somaliland
Kenya
Tanzania
Zanzibar
Ethiopia
DP World’s regional teams and local NGOs helped provide 12,500 food supply boxes in total.
