The Department of Community Development (DCD) – Abu Dhabi has started a new plan called "Volunteer in 60 Seconds" with Volunteers.ae. This plan makes it easier and faster for people to sign up for volunteer work. Before, it took eight minutes to register, but now it only takes one minute. This change helps more people join and support their community.

This plan is part of the Abu Dhabi Government’s Effortless Customer Experience programme, which works to make services simple and easy to use. By making the volunteer sign-up quick, the DCD and Volunteers.ae hope that more people will take part in volunteer work. Helping others is important, and this plan makes it easy for everyone to give back to society.

Fatema Al Hosani, a manager at DCD, said this plan shows their promise to making volunteering simple. She said that when people can sign up easily, more will join, and this will bring people closer together. The DCD wants volunteering to be a big part of life in Abu Dhabi. She also said this plan will keep a record of volunteers’ work and hours, which helps make sure their efforts are valued.

Al Hosani also said that volunteering is not just about helping others. It is also part of the country’s values and helps make society strong. She said Abu Dhabi wants to be a leader in volunteering, not just in the region but in the whole world. The DCD will keep working to make services better so that more people can live happy and good lives.

Hussain Al Balushi, a project manager at Volunteers.ae, said that volunteers are very important for the growth of society. He said that giving time to help others is one of the kindest things a person can do. He is happy to work with the DCD to make volunteering easy. He hopes that because signing up is now faster, more people will take part in different activities and make a big difference in Abu Dhabi.

Besides helping more people volunteer, the "Volunteer in 60 Seconds" plan also follows Abu Dhabi’s digital future goals. It connects different groups and helps them work together easily. Using digital tools makes the process smoother, so volunteers and groups can find each other quickly. This step is part of the government’s bigger plan to make life in Abu Dhabi easier and better for everyone.

Through this plan, the DCD shows its strong support for bringing people together, making services easy, and adding volunteering into daily life. Now, anyone who wants to help the community can do it in just one minute. This will help people come together, strengthen community ties, and make Abu Dhabi a place where helping others is a normal and valued part of life.

As more people join this plan, volunteering will grow in Abu Dhabi. By making it easy and quick, the government is making sure that everyone has a chance to help. This plan allows people to make a difference in just 60 seconds.
