Calidus Holding Group, a prominent defence and manufacturing company based in the UAE, has taken a major step toward innovation by signing a strategic teaming agreement with 3ME Technology, a leading Australian advanced systems integrator. This important partnership focuses on developing hybrid solutions designed specifically for Calidus’ range of defence vehicles across the region. The signing ceremony took place recently and was attended by key representatives from both organizations.
The agreement was formally signed by Dr. Khalifa Murad Alblooshi, Managing Director and CEO of Calidus Holding Group, and Justin Bain, CEO of 3ME Technology. Both leaders expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration and its potential to transform the defence vehicle sector by integrating cutting-edge hybrid technologies.
Under this agreement, Calidus and 3ME will jointly work on initiatives to develop and integrate hybrid power solutions into defence vehicles. These hybrid technologies are aimed at providing greater operational flexibility, enhancing energy efficiency, and reducing emissions. By adopting hybrid systems, the vehicles will become more sustainable, better prepared for future challenges, and capable of performing demanding missions with improved reliability.
Dr. Khalifa Alblooshi emphasized that the teaming agreement aligns perfectly with Calidus’ vision to be a leader in defence manufacturing innovation. He said that working with 3ME Technology will speed up the adoption of electrified power solutions in Calidus’ vehicle fleet, which is crucial for maintaining mission readiness. He also noted that this partnership supports the UAE’s national strategy to strengthen its defence industries and to embrace future technologies that will drive growth and competitiveness.
Justin Bain explained that 3ME Technology has a strong track record of developing innovative power systems tested under some of Australia’s toughest conditions. These include applications in underground mining and defence sectors, where durability, reliability, and performance are critical. With the new partnership, 3ME aims to bring this proven expertise to the UAE on an industrial scale. He expressed confidence that combining 3ME’s technology with Calidus’ advanced manufacturing capabilities will produce defence vehicles that can operate faster, travel further, and be ready for future missions with greater efficiency.
The collaboration between Calidus Holding Group and 3ME Technology represents a significant milestone in the evolution of the defence industry in the UAE and the broader region. It highlights a shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and the development of advanced defence solutions. Both companies plan to continue working closely to create hybrid vehicles that meet modern defence requirements, reduce environmental impact, and provide the armed forces with cutting-edge technology to enhance their operational capabilities.
Overall, this teaming agreement is expected to accelerate the growth of the UAE’s defence sector, promote technological advancements, and strengthen the country’s position as a leader in the global defence manufacturing landscape.
