PM Modi is in the UAE at the invitation of UAE Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to participate in the World Government Summit 2024 as a Guest of Honour. During his visit, PM Modi is scheduled to deliver a special keynote address at the Summit.
The Crown Prince highlighted the World Government Summit's significance, evolving into a premier platform for sharing governance best practices, success stories, and initiatives on a global scale. Expressing a warm welcome to the Republic of India, he acknowledged PM Modi as the distinguished guest of honor.
PM Modi's visit includes interactions with UAE leaders, and he will inaugurate the BAPS Mandir in Abu Dhabi. Notably, several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were exchanged during a bilateral meeting with UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, strengthening economic cooperation between the two nations.
The Prime Minister engaged with students at the IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi Campus, praising the project for bringing together students from India and the UAE. He also addressed the Indian diaspora at the 'Ahlan Modi' event at Zayed Sports Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
PM Modi's visit underscores the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the UAE, marked by bilateral agreements, economic partnerships, and cultural ties. The Ministry of External Affairs highlights the positive and significant contribution of the 3.5 million-strong Indian community in the UAE to the host country's development.
This visit is PM Modi's seventh to the UAE since 2015, emphasizing the enduring relationship between the two nations. The bilateral engagement covers a spectrum of areas, including economic collaboration, strategic partnerships, and the shared contributions of the vibrant Indian expatriate community in the UAE.
