In Abu Dhabi, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan paid a visit to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain on a Wednesday. The discussions between the two leaders were marked by warm and cordial talks, underscoring the robust and enduring ties between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as the strong bond between their respective peoples.
The primary focus of the meeting was to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation across various sectors. The leaders aimed to propel the development goals of both nations and meet the aspirations of their people for continued progress and prosperity. The discussions encompassed a comprehensive review of the relations between the UAE and Bahrain.
Aside from bilateral matters, Sheikh Mohamed and King Hamad expressed their commitment to further strengthening collaboration across the Gulf region. This commitment was seen as vital for the mutual benefit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, contributing to the realization of the citizens' ambitions.
The agenda also included an in-depth analysis of the latest developments in the Middle East. Both leaders stressed the importance of concerted efforts to achieve a comprehensive and just peace process in the region. The envisioned peace process was anticipated to foster stability, development, and prosperity for the people throughout the Middle East.
The distinguished attendees at the meeting included Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court; Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court; Ali Mohammed Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security, alongside several Sheikhs and officials.
On the Bahraini side, prominent figures such as Lieutenant General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, were also present at the meeting.
