The Emirates Foundation finished a special training program called the Sanid Civil Protection and Safety Initiative during Ramadan. This program helped people learn how to handle emergencies better. A total of 341 volunteers from 22 different countries joined the training. It took place in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah. The training lasted for six sessions, each for two days. Altogether, the volunteers completed 2,046 hours of training to improve their emergency skills.

The training focused on teaching important skills like first aid, home safety, firefighting, and disaster response. Experts from the Sanid Program, along with trained volunteers, led the sessions. The main aim was to make sure that people could act quickly and help others during emergencies at home or in the community.
The program covered different topics to help volunteers handle emergencies. First, they learned about the rules and duties of volunteers, teaching them how to work well in teams during a crisis. Then, they were trained on how to prepare for disasters, both natural ones like floods and storms and human-made ones like accidents. Another part of the training was about leadership and management, where they learned how to take charge in an emergency, organize help, and assign tasks.
The second part of the training was more practical. Volunteers learned first aid, like how to treat burns, wounds, and other injuries. Another session taught them how to carry and help injured people without making their condition worse. The last part focused on fire safety, where they learned how to put out fires, handle dangerous materials, and use fire alarms properly.
Because this training was a big success, the Emirates Foundation has promised to continue these programs. They plan to teach even more people in the future so that more communities in the UAE are ready for emergencies. In 2025, the foundation will launch new programs to improve safety and security, making sure that people are better prepared to handle any crisis.
