On Saturday morning in Paris, a dangerous car chase led to 13 people getting hurt, including 10 police officers. The chase started when a driver refused to stop for the police. The pursuit went on for several kilometers through the south of the city, causing damage to several cars along the way.
The driver lost control of his car, crashing into a traffic light. As the police cars tried to stop him, three of them crashed into his vehicle. The police and the driver were both injured, but fortunately, none of the injuries were life-threatening.
The police said the driver had run a red light before the chase began. Around 5:45 am, the police stopped the driver for a routine check in the 14th district of Paris. When they ordered him to stop, the driver ignored them and sped off. Three police cars began chasing him.

The chase lasted for a few kilometers, with the driver not stopping despite the police warning. At one point, the driver crashed into a traffic light at the corner of Avenue du Maine and Boulevard du Montparnasse in the 15th district of Paris. At that moment, the three police cars hit the driver's vehicle.
Ten police officers were injured during the crash. They were taken to the hospital for treatment but were all discharged by the afternoon. The police chief, Laurent Nunez, praised the officers for their courage and calmness during the chase.
The three people in the car, including the driver and two passengers, were arrested. They were also taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The police said the three suspects were aged between 19 and 30, and two of them had a criminal record.
The police union posted a photo showing a police car on top of a damaged black car. They said the accident was violent and blamed the reckless driver for putting the police and others in danger.
The police chief mentioned that the visibility was poor during the chase, making the situation even more dangerous. Last year, there were 2,300 cases where drivers refused to stop for the police in the greater Paris area. Forty percent of these incidents happened at night, according to Nunez.
