SEC Makes Decision to Revise Organization of Parents' Councils: July 9, 2024

Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), presided over the SEC meeting on Tuesday at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the SEC, was also present.

During the meeting, the SEC discussed several topics focused on monitoring government performance and enhancing its services to keep pace with the Emirate of Sharjah's growth across various sectors.

A key decision made during the meeting was the amendment of SEC Decision No. (18) of 2017 concerning the establishment and organization of parents' councils in Sharjah, under the Sharjah Districts Affairs Department. The updated decision involves revising the organizational regulations of the councils to improve their services and enhance their role in different sectors.

The SEC also reviewed a report on the smart media platform, which offers a comprehensive media experience and aims to unify media work across government entities and departments in Sharjah. This platform provides a high level of professionalism in media operations by leveraging accurate analyses of monitoring and data processes, thereby supporting the media goals and vision of Sharjah.

The report highlighted statistics on the platform’s users, including 58 government entities, and covered the number of training courses and introductory workshops conducted on the platform and its operational mechanisms. Additionally, the report outlined proposed plans for the platform’s development and its most significant positive outcomes for local government entities in Sharjah.
