Saudi-Kuwait Railway Set for 2028 Completion

The ambitious project, spanning 650 kilometers, aims to connect Saudi Arabia with Kuwait, promising to revolutionize travel between the two nations. Expected to be finalized by 2028, the railway network is poised to significantly reduce travel time to a mere two hours.

Officials at the Ministry of Public Works have revealed that the railway will originate from Al Shaddadiya in Kuwait and traverse through the bustling city of Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. This strategic route alignment is anticipated to enhance connectivity and facilitate seamless transportation between the two neighboring countries.

The project is segmented into three distinct phases to ensure its successful implementation. The initial phase entails a meticulous study of the project and an exhaustive analysis of the designated route. This phase, expected to span approximately three months, is progressing steadily, with procedural formalities and approvals nearing completion.

Following the comprehensive study phase, the project will transition into the design phase, which has been allocated a timeline of one year. During this stage, meticulous planning and engineering efforts will be dedicated to refining the project's design and ensuring its alignment with safety and efficiency standards.

Finally, the execution phase of the project is slated to span three years, during which construction activities will be carried out diligently to bring the envisioned railway network to fruition. This phase will witness the concerted efforts of skilled professionals and construction teams to translate the project plans into tangible infrastructure.

Overall, the impending completion of the Saudi-Kuwait railway network represents a significant milestone in enhancing regional connectivity and fostering economic development across the Arabian Peninsula. As the project progresses through its various phases, it is poised to unlock new opportunities for trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, ushering in a new era of collaboration and prosperity.
