H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain, is deeply saddened by the death of his mother, Sheikha Hassa bint Hamid bin Abdulrahman Al-Shamsi. She passed away today.
The Ruler’s Court has announced a three-day official mourning period, starting from today. During this time, the UAE flag will be flown at half-mast across Umm Al Qaiwain as a mark of respect.

Funeral prayers will be held today after the Dhuhr prayer at the Ahmed bin Rashid Al Mualla Mosque in Al Raas, Umm Al Qaiwain.
The ruling family and people of Umm Al Qaiwain are grieving this great loss. Many government officials, dignitaries, and citizens are expected to attend the funeral service to offer their condolences and pray for the late Sheikha Hassa.
