Warsaw, Poland — Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Poland marks a historic moment as it is the first trip by an Indian Prime Minister to the country in 45 years. Arriving in Warsaw on Wednesday, Modi was greeted with a ceremonial red carpet welcome at the Federal Chancellery.
During his visit, Modi met with his Polish counterpart, Donald Tusk. The two leaders engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing bilateral relations between India and Poland. This visit is seen as a significant step in revitalizing and expanding the partnership between the two nations.

The Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, highlighted the importance of the visit, noting on social media, “This visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Poland after 45 years will impart fresh momentum to the India-Poland partnership.”
Tusk also expressed enthusiasm for the visit on social media, stating, “Finally. After 45 years! Prime Minister @narendramodi, good to see you in Warsaw.”
In addition to his meeting with Tusk, Modi is scheduled to hold talks with Polish President Andrzej Sebastian Duda. His visit to Poland is the first leg of a two-nation tour that will also include a trip to Kyiv, Ukraine.
