Nikki Haley: Kamala Harris Would Be a Disaster for America, Joe Biden Not Competent

Indian American Republican leader Nikki Haley announced on Tuesday that she was releasing the several dozen delegates she had accrued during the party's presidential primaries earlier this year to support the presumptive nominee, Donald Trump. This decision comes ahead of the Republican National Convention (RNC) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where Trump is set to be formally nominated as the party's candidate for the November 5 general election.

In a statement, Haley emphasized the importance of Republican unity during the nominating convention. She expressed strong criticism of Joe Biden, asserting his incompetence for a second term, and labeled Kamala Harris as potentially disastrous for America. Haley highlighted the need for a president who would hold adversaries accountable, secure the nation's borders, reduce debt, and rejuvenate the economy.

Haley, who had garnered 97 delegates compared to Biden's 2,265, suspended her campaign in March. Despite not attending the RNC, the former US ambassador to the United Nations and South Carolina governor affirmed her support for Trump, urging her delegates to back him at the convention.

Responding to Haley's absence from the RNC, her spokesperson Chaney Denton clarified that she was not invited but had no issue with that decision. Denton reiterated Haley's endorsement of Trump and her best wishes for the convention proceedings.
