Abu Dhabi, UAE – 26 January 2026: Internationally acclaimed composer Max Richter is set to perform live at Saadiyat Nights on Thursday, 29 January 2026, offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience the music behind some of the world’s most memorable films and television series.
Fresh from earning a 2026 Academy Award nomination for Best Original Score for the film Hamnet, the German-British composer is renowned for his ability to blend classical composition with cinematic storytelling. His music has left an indelible mark on audiences worldwide, featuring in major productions such as Black Mirror, The Crown, The Leftovers, Arrival, Mary Queen of Scots, and Ad Astra.
Earlier this month, Richter was honoured with the Berlinale Camera 2026 by the Berlin International Film Festival, a prestigious award recognising his contribution to contemporary cinema. With over one billion streams globally, his compositions have reached audiences far beyond traditional classical music circles.
At Saadiyat Nights, Richter will perform selections from across his celebrated repertoire, including works like In A Landscape, alongside his evocative film and television scores. The performance promises an immersive musical journey under the stars, combining the emotional depth of his cinematic work with the intimacy and power of a live concert experience.
This one-night-only event on Saadiyat Island offers fans and music lovers alike a chance to witness one of the most influential composers of his generation live in Abu Dhabi, creating an evening of reflection, connection, and unforgettable music.
