The Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an has shared its 2024 report, showing how it used money to support social projects in Abu Dhabi. The report explains how Ma’an helped different groups and worked with partners to make life better for people in the city.

Over the past year, Ma’an gave funds to many projects in health, education, social support, the environment, and city development. A total of 51 projects were started with help from important partners like the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, Mubadala Foundation, Department of Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Al Noor Centre, and others. These projects were created to solve important issues and improve daily life for people.
His Excellency Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development, said that building a strong and connected community is always the main goal. He explained that Ma’an is playing a big role in improving people’s lives and bringing everyone together. He also said that every year, more and more people are giving support, which shows that the community is growing and helping each other.
His Excellency Abdullah Al Ameri, Director General of Ma’an, said that Ma’an is the official place for people and businesses to give money for social projects. He said Ma’an works hard to make sure this money is used in the best way to help the community. He also explained that Ma’an brings together different groups to make social projects stronger and better. This way, the projects help more people and have a bigger impact.
In 2024, Ma’an gave a total of AED98.6 million to different projects. This money helped many people, including People of Determination, elderly citizens, orphans, students, and patients. The health sector received AED36.8 million to improve healthcare services through 10 projects. The social support sector got AED33.6 million for 24 projects that help people become active in the community. The education sector received AED20 million to support 9 projects, making sure students get a better education. Another AED8.2 million was used for environmental and infrastructure projects to keep the city clean and beautiful.
Besides giving money directly to projects, Ma’an also raised AED2.7 million through different platforms, such as ATMs, ADPAY, First Abu Dhabi Bank, the Botim app, and donation kiosks. This money was used for five projects, helping more people in need.
Ma’an connects the government, businesses, social organizations, and charities to support important social projects. It also helps companies meet their Corporate Social Responsibility goals by linking them with projects that make a real difference.
Through all these efforts, Ma’an is building a culture of giving and kindness. It encourages people and businesses to contribute, making sure every donation is used to improve the community. The goal is to create a strong, supportive, and happy society in Abu Dhabi, where everyone helps each other and enjoys a better quality of life.
