The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, in collaboration with the Authority of Social Contribution – Ma’an, has launched the "Together for Education" campaign, themed "Equipping Minds, Shaping Futures." The initiative, running from September 16 to October 15, 2024, aims to channel AED 100 million in social contributions to assist students from low-income families in Abu Dhabi by covering overdue school fees and related costs.
The campaign is designed to support approximately 6,000 students and includes provisions for operational expenses of eligible schools across the UAE, as well as the supply of necessary educational materials. The overarching goal is to help students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds continue their education and build better futures for themselves and their communities. This effort underscores the UAE’s commitment to providing quality education and highlights the importance of social solidarity and humanitarian efforts in the region.

As the official channel for receiving social contributions in Abu Dhabi, Ma’an plays a crucial role in empowering the community to engage in meaningful and sustainable solutions for pressing social issues. By organizing and facilitating contributions, Ma’an aims to create a long-lasting impact on the lives of students and the broader community.
His Excellency Mohamed Haji Al Khoury, Director-General of the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, emphasized that the campaign aligns with the foundation's mission to foster a culture of social solidarity and innovation. This collaboration ensures that students have access to education, allowing them to achieve their aspirations, enhance their skills, and positively contribute to their communities.
Al Khoury remarked, “The launch of the Together for Education campaign represents a significant milestone in our nation’s tradition of giving and philanthropy. Our primary objective is to help overcome economic and social barriers that may impede students from completing their education.”
His Excellency Abdullah Al Ameri, Director-General of Ma’an, highlighted that the campaign facilitates organized and accessible contribution efforts, providing a smooth mechanism for individuals and organizations to support this cause. He stated, “The Together for Education campaign is part of a broader series of initiatives in the UAE aimed at ensuring that students have the resources needed to achieve their academic and career goals. This initiative reflects Ma’an’s commitment to addressing social priorities by empowering the community to care for one another.”
Al Ameri also noted that the partnership with the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation embodies a shared belief in supporting social and non-profit enterprises to address societal needs and build a more cohesive community.
The Together for Education campaign represents the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation’s dedication to supporting educational access and quality for all students in the UAE. It also reflects Ma’an’s vision of creating a collaborative community that delivers sustainable solutions to societal challenges and enhances the quality of life in Abu Dhabi.
Individuals seeking assistance through the campaign can apply via Ma’an’s website (maan.gov.ae). Federal and local entities will collaborate to identify and determine the beneficiaries of this support.
