New Visa-On-Arrival Rules for Indians
Starting February 13, 2025, this updated policy makes it easier for Indian citizens to enter the UAE without applying for a visa in advance. Previously, only Indians with valid documents from the United States, the United Kingdom, or European Union countries were eligible for this facility. Now, six more countries have been added, increasing opportunities for travel, business, and residency in the UAE.
To qualify, Indian nationals must meet UAE’s entry requirements, including:
A passport with at least six months of validity.
A valid visa, residence permit, or Green Card from one of the newly added countries.
UAE Visa Fees for Indian Travelers
The UAE has also introduced three visa categories for Indian travelers, each with an affordable fee:
4-day visa – AED 100
14-day extension – AED 250
60-day visa – AED 250
This expansion is designed to simplify travel for Indian passport holders, opening up new opportunities for tourism, business, and work in the UAE.
Different UAE Visa Options for Travelers
If you are planning a visit to the UAE, different types of visas are available based on your eligibility:
Single-entry tourist visa – Valid for 30 or 60 days.
Multiple-entry tourist visa – Valid for 30 or 60 days.
Long-term multiple-entry visa – Valid for five years.
Transit visa – Available for 48 hours or 96 hours.
Visa on arrival – Available for 30 or 90 days, depending on nationality.
Visa on arrival for Indian nationals – Now includes Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, along with the USA, UK, and EU.
eVisa for residents of GCC countries – GCC citizens can enter visa-free.
This visa expansion makes travel smoother and more convenient for Indian passport holders, helping them explore new opportunities in the UAE.
