Ski Dubai, in collaboration with the Dubai Sports Council, has unveiled the winners of the 15th edition of the Ice Warrior Challenge, held today in a spectacular setting. This year’s event saw a remarkable turnout of 626 athletes from 68 different nationalities, including 263 Emiratis, who braved the chilly sub-zero temperatures to navigate more than 20 challenging obstacles. The competition not only tested their physical abilities but also their mental resilience.
The event featured three distinct categories: Elite Fitness, Regular, and Team, each showcasing exceptional talent and determination.
In the Elite Fitness category, Hallvard Borsheim topped the men's leaderboard with an impressive finish time of 29 minutes and 7 seconds. Following him were Yeison Londono Franco and Marc Al Onso, who finished in 36:55 and 37:19, respectively. For the women, Tetiana Maltseva claimed first place with a time of 37:16, closely followed by Olga Naumova at 40:17 and Paulina Bascaro at 45:02.

Mikhail Rudik and Luz Barrios stood out as the overall champions in the Regular category, finishing with remarkable times of 20:34 and 24:39, respectively. They were followed by Mohamed Moulay and Nigina Lolakova, who completed their runs in 21:44 and 27:54. Jad Hamdan and Leena Reda rounded out the top three with times of 22:33 and 28:44.
In the Team category, the champions were Kebab Glorious, finishing with a time of 36:32. They narrowly beat out The Ski Turtles, who came in at 36:33, and Gambiteers, who completed the course in 41:34.
The Ice Warrior Challenge was graced by distinguished guests including His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, along with other officials from the Dubai Sports Council and Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment. They presented trophies and prizes to the winners, celebrating their hard-fought achievements. All participants were rewarded with commemorative medals and souvenir T-shirts upon crossing the finish line.
Ski Dubai and the Dubai Sports Council continue to work together to organize engaging events that promote health and an active lifestyle within the community. Their collaborative efforts aim to make snow sports accessible to everyone, enhancing community wellbeing.
