Gunman's Supermarket Rampage in Arkansas Leaves 3 Dead, 10 Injured

A tragic shooting unfolded at a supermarket in Fordyce, Arkansas, leaving three civilians dead and 10 others injured, including two police officers, according to Arkansas State Police. The incident occurred at the Mad Butcher grocery store in the small town located approximately 70 miles south of Little Rock.

Arkansas State Police Director Mike Hagar provided details to reporters, stating, "Unfortunately, we can confirm that 11 innocent civilians were shot, with three fatalities. Two law enforcement officers sustained injuries during the exchange of gunfire. The suspect was also wounded and has been apprehended." Hagar did not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding the shooting or entertain questions from the media.

Hagar reported that the injured police officers and the suspect were expected to survive their wounds. The civilian casualties ranged from non-life-threatening to critically severe injuries.

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders expressed her response to the incident on social media, stating, "I am thankful to law enforcement and first responders for their quick and heroic action to save lives. My prayers are with the victims and all those impacted by this horrific incident."
