Dubai Judicial Council unveils website with 15 new services.

H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Chairman of the Dubai Judicial Council, presided over a meeting of the Council.

In his role of overseeing Dubai's judicial institutions, Sheikh Maktoum approved the 2023 annual report of the Judicial Authority during the session. He also ratified appointments within Dubai Courts and the Judicial Inspection Authority. Additionally, Sheikh Maktoum inaugurated the new website for the Dubai Judicial Council and engaged in discussions on various judicial matters and procedures concerning members of the Judicial Authority, making decisions accordingly.

Emphasizing Dubai's dedication to elevating its judicial system to meet global standards, Sheikh Maktoum reiterated the commitment to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision for Dubai to excel in judicial services worldwide. The 2023 annual report reflects Dubai's endeavors to ensure swift justice and uphold the rule of law, solidifying its prominent position. Strategic plans are in place to enhance the efficiency, speed, and transparency of the judicial system, aligning with advancements across various sectors.

Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Dubai Courts, highlighted the completion of several projects in 2023, including the Diploma in 'The Judicial Expertise' and the development of the Noqodi electronic wallet. Noteworthy accomplishments also include the establishment of the Board of Commissioners for Dubai’s Court of Cassation, an administrative circuit, and an electronic disclosure platform to facilitate the implementation of judicial rulings.

Judge Mohammed Mubarak Al Sabousi, Director of Dubai’s Judicial Inspection Authority, underscored digitalization initiatives, performance enhancement, governance improvement, and structural evolution within the Authority.

The launch of the new website of the Dubai Judicial Council aims to enhance public awareness about its mission, offering 15 new services. Dr. Abdullah Saif Al-Sabousi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Dubai Judicial Council, highlighted ongoing digitalization efforts aligned with directives from Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed and Dubai's vision for comprehensive development.

Sheikh Maktoum also unveiled the 2023 annual report for the Judicial Authority, spotlighting key achievements such as 48 regulatory decisions and 60 legislations. Notable statistics include 366 new judiciary member appointments, financial settlements totaling AED8.9 billion, and significant increases in case processing across various courts. The report also outlines efforts by the Public Prosecution and the Judicial Inspection Authority to address complaints and improve efficiency.

The Dubai Judicial Council is committed to upholding principles of justice, equality, and the rule of law while contributing to Dubai's sustainable development through an efficient and transparent judicial system. It aims to realize strategic goals in terms of judicial autonomy and continuous improvement, underscoring the importance of judicial ethics and integrity.
