Dubai Chamber of Commerce, one of the three chambers under Dubai Chambers, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Community Contributions Establishment – JOOD. The partnership aims to support local entrepreneurs and SMEs that focus on sustainability and social impact.
The MoU establishes a strategic collaboration to help purpose-driven ventures launch and grow. Through JOOD’s digital platforms, the partnership will mobilise private sector and community contributions, ensuring transparent collection, management, and disbursement of funds in line with governance and compliance standards.
Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, said: “We are committed to fostering an environment where purpose-driven companies can thrive. Partnering with JOOD helps build Dubai’s social entrepreneurship ecosystem by connecting impactful projects with funding and resources, supporting sustainable development goals under the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.”
H.E. Marwan Rashed BinHashim, CEO of JOOD, added: “Our platforms provide transparent and trusted channels for initiatives that meet real community needs. This partnership strengthens collaboration between the private sector and the community, supporting an inclusive and sustainable economy in line with Dubai Social Agenda 33.”
Under this MoU, both organizations will work together on initiatives that create positive social and environmental outcomes. They will also promote stakeholder engagement through coordinated communications, share public information to boost transparency, and leverage their resources to increase awareness and support for agreed projects.
This collaboration aligns with Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to double Dubai’s economy in the next decade. By strengthening social entrepreneurship, Dubai Chamber and JOOD aim to create a more diversified, innovative, and sustainable economy, enhancing Dubai’s global leadership in business and community impact.
