Dive into the power of colors, letting your imagination guide you in creating an ambiance that makes every day feel like a dream.

In an insightful interview with HT Lifestyle, Madhusudan Lohia, Director at Merino Industries Ltd, emphasized the importance of surfaces in the laminate category. These surfaces are designed to offer durability and strength, addressing key parameters for long-lasting performance. Stain-resistant, impact-resistant, scratch-resistant, and moisture-resistant surfaces make maintenance easy and protect against accidental impacts, ensuring a flawless appearance over time.

Lohia discussed various design categories available in the market to achieve a dreamy interior, such as Pinnacle, Coloured Wood, Vertex, Veneer, Beribbon, Herringbone, Woodcuts, Luver, Walnut, Plecus, and Mesh. Each category brings a unique style and aesthetic to elevate interior spaces, offering a diverse range of choices for consumers based on their preferences.

Minal Somany, Brand Custodian at Somany Ceramics, highlighted the season's trends, where vibrant colors inspired by Moroccan and Mediterranean tiles with geometric shapes and floral motifs have gained popularity. Shades of grey, gentle blues, delicate mint greens, and the classic combination of black and white marble patterns are in vogue for wall tiles. Large-format tiles are replacing traditional stones, marbles, and granites, providing creative freedom and an expansive surface.

Matte finishes add refined elegance, while glossy surfaces create a contemporary and glamorous atmosphere. Somany advised individuals to let their imagination soar, playing with patterns, experimenting with textures, and using colors as brushstrokes to paint their dreamy interior.

Ajay Khurana, MD at Formica India, delved into the captivating world of colors for the new season. The design landscape is embracing minimalistic aesthetics, focusing on serene and harmonious environments. Soft pastels and subdued tones are taking center stage, creating a dreamy and ethereal atmosphere. Urban shades like heather, liquid glass, iris, and porcelain evoke tranquility in living spaces and can be incorporated into various design styles.

Nature-inspired colors, including muted greens, warm earth tones, and subtle neutrals, have gained popularity, bringing the beauty of the outdoors inside. These colors foster a connection with nature and promote well-being. Khurana emphasized finding the right balance when incorporating these colors into interior design, allowing individuals to create a space that reflects their personal style and invites a sense of tranquility and harmony.

In conclusion, curating a dreamy interior involves a thoughtful blend of durable surfaces, diverse design categories, vibrant colors, and a touch of nature-inspired elements. The evolving trends in interior design offer individuals the opportunity to express their unique vision, creating spaces that go beyond following trends to evoke joy, serenity, and a dreamlike ambiance in everyday living.
