Foreign Minister Joins Heritage Foundation Discussion in Washington

Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain, took part in a meeting organized by the Heritage Foundation at its headquarters in Washington, D.C. Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Ambassador to the United States, was also present.

The meeting discussed the strong partnership between Bahrain and the United States. They talked about working together in areas like business, trade, defense, and development. They also looked at how to make this partnership even stronger to help both countries reach their shared goals.

During the session, they also talked about the current situation in the Middle East. They discussed the conflicts in the region and how they affect peace and security around the world. They also talked about efforts being made to reduce tensions and promote peace and cooperation in the region.

Dr. Al Zayani mentioned the Arab Summit that will be held in Bahrain in May 2024. He talked about what the leaders hope to achieve at the summit, including peace, stability, and development in the Middle East. He also said that the summit will focus on helping the people who are suffering from conflicts, especially in the areas of health and education.

Dr. Al Zayani stressed the importance of the world working together to end the conflicts in the Middle East. He said this was important to keep peace and security in the world and to protect the people of the region from the harm caused by these conflicts. He also said that the issue of Palestine is central to the problems in the region and must be solved by creating an independent Palestinian state. This state should live in peace and security next to Israel.

Dr. Al Zayani also called for an end to the war in Gaza. He asked for a ceasefire to be put in place immediately. He also asked for the release of all hostages and detainees and for aid to be delivered to people in Gaza to help ease their suffering.
