Miral, along with Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM) and ALEC, planted 300 trees at Al Masar Park in Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi. This event was the final part of Miral’s "Planting Roots for a Sustainable Future" project. The aim was to help nature and show care for the environment. Taking care of nature is an important goal for Miral, and this project was part of its bigger plan to make the community greener and healthier.

This event was also part of the UAE Year of Community, which encourages people to work together for a better future. More than 200 people joined, including workers from Miral and ALEC, along with about 80 students from Yasmina British Academy and Yas American Academy. They planted 200 Ghaf trees, 50 Flame trees, and 50 Neem trees. While planting, they also learned about the importance of trees, especially the Ghaf tree, which is important for nature in the Middle East.

Taghrid AlSaeed, the leader of marketing and events at Miral, said that Miral wants to create great places that are also good for the environment. She said that planting trees, especially the Ghaf tree, which is a symbol of strength in the UAE, shows Miral’s promise to protect nature. By working with Abu Dhabi Municipality and ALEC, Miral hopes to teach young people the value of taking care of the earth. The goal is to make everyone feel responsible for keeping the environment clean and green for the future.

Salma Al Mansouri, a director at Abu Dhabi Municipality, said that ADM supports events that improve life in the UAE. She explained that this tree-planting event is part of a bigger project called Plant the Emirates National Programme, started by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister of the UAE. This programme helps plant more trees, grow more food, and make the UAE greener. She also said ADM is happy to work with private companies to protect nature and make sure green spaces stay healthy in Abu Dhabi.

Dewald Smith, a manager at ALEC, said that taking care of nature is an important part of their work. He was happy to work with Miral and ADM on this project. He explained that planting trees like the Ghaf is not just about making places look nice but also about helping the environment. He said that this event is not just about planting trees—it is about teaching people to love and protect nature. ALEC hopes this project will make Abu Dhabi greener for many years.

The Ghaf tree is very special in the UAE. It became the country’s national tree in 2008. It is strong, survives in the desert, and is a symbol of hope. The Flame tree and Neem tree are also strong trees that give shade and make the land better.

Miral’s "Planting Roots for a Sustainable Future" project is part of its promise to help both the economy and nature. In 2023, Miral started a plan to help people and the environment in different ways. It focuses on jobs, learning, health, sports, culture, nature, and animals. Through different activities, Miral wants to help society and make a big difference.

Miral is working to build a future where progress and nature go hand in hand. By planting trees and supporting green projects, Miral is helping create a cleaner and healthier world for everyone.
