Conceived by the Forest and Tourism Department, the glass skywalk aims to elevate Chitrakoot's allure as a premier tourist destination. Drawing inspiration from Bihar's renowned skywalk in Rajgir, this project is poised to captivate visitors with its aesthetic charm and structural brilliance.
Scheduled for inauguration following the Lok Sabha elections, the glass bridge heralds a new era of tourism in Uttar Pradesh. It is expected to become the crowning jewel of an enchanting eco-tourism center, complementing the mesmerizing vistas of the waterfall.
Constructed by the esteemed Ghazipur-based Pawan Sut Construction Company, the bridge is a testament to collaborative effort and visionary planning. Formerly known as Shabri Waterfall, the site was recently christened Tulsi Waterfalls by the state government, paying homage to the birthplace of revered saint Goswami Tulsidas in Rajapur and the sacred shrine of Lord Shri Ram.
The bow-and-arrow-shaped bridge spans an impressive length of 25 meters and boasts a width of 35 meters between its sturdy pillars. With a robust load capacity of 500 kg per square meter, safety and comfort are assured for visitors embarking on this thrilling adventure.
As Uttar Pradesh's first glass skywalk prepares to welcome the public, it signifies not only a triumph of engineering prowess but also a celebration of cultural heritage and natural splendor. Plans are underway for the development of accompanying amenities, including parks, herb gardens, and restaurants, promoting sustainable tourism and transforming the glass bridge into a cherished landmark in the heart of Chitrakoot's wilderness.
