Abu Dhabi Police announced a revision in the traffic ban schedule for trucks and heavy vehicles on the emirate's roads during Ramadan. The change, publicized on social media, pertains to the rush-hour restriction applicable to trucks and buses carrying over 50 workers.
General Mahmoud Youssef Al Balushi, Director of the Directorate of Traffic and Security Patrols in the Central Operations Sector, emphasized the prohibition of heavy vehicles on Abu Dhabi roads during morning hours from 8 am to 10 am and evening peak hours from 2 pm to 4 pm throughout Ramadan.
He highlighted the deployment of traffic patrols across all roads, coupled with intensified traffic control through smart systems during this period.
