Two young stars, Madison Wolfe and Lexi Minetree, have auditioned for the role. Wolfe has acted in True Detective and Mayfair Witches, while Minetree has been in The Murdaugh Murders and Law & Order: SVU. A final decision is expected soon, but the studios have not shared more details yet.
Witherspoon talked about the auditions in an interview. She said she has watched “so many tapes” and finds it fun to see different actresses play Elle. She also shared that a popular series starring Jenna Ortega gave her the idea to make this prequel.
This new show will focus on Elle Woods’ high school life, showing how she became the confident and smart young woman we see in Legally Blonde (2001). Laura Kittrell is the showrunner, and she will make sure the series keeps Elle’s charm and spirit.
Witherspoon’s role as Elle Woods made her a big Hollywood star. She played Elle again in Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde (2003). Over the years, Elle Woods has stayed an iconic character, inspiring people with her style, determination, and positive attitude.
Both actresses, Wolfe and Minetree, look like Witherspoon and have acted in several TV shows and movies. Wolfe is known for The Conjuring 2 and Mayfair Witches, while Minetree has been in My Amish Double Life and Law & Order: SVU.
Fans are excited to see who will play young Elle. The decision will be announced soon, and the Legally Blonde story will continue with a fresh twist.
