Abu Dhabi Announces Free Parking and Toll Gate Timings for New Year 2025

Post by: Bandan Preet

The Integrated Transport Centre (Abu Dhabi Mobility), which is part of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, has shared the operating hours for various services during the New Year holiday on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. These services will follow special schedules for the holiday.

Abu Dhabi Mobility’s Customer Happiness Centres will be closed on New Year’s Day, but they will reopen on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Customers can still apply for services online through the Abu Dhabi Mobility website, Darbi, Darb websites and apps, and the “TAMM” platform, which provides digital government services in Abu Dhabi.

If customers need help, they can contact the unified Service Support Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport at 800850, or the Taxi Call Centre at 600535353. Both services are available 24/7.

During the New Year holiday, parking fees for MAWAQiF surface parking will be free on Wednesday, January 1, and parking fees will start again at 8:00 am on Thursday, January 2. The Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot will also have free parking on the holiday.

Abu Dhabi Mobility is reminding drivers to avoid parking in no-parking areas or doing anything that would block the flow of traffic. They also ask drivers to park in the proper places and not park in residential parking spaces from 9:00 pm until 8:00 am.

The Darb toll gate system will not charge fees on New Year’s Day. However, toll gate fees will start again on Thursday, January 2, during busy hours: from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Abu Dhabi Mobility has announced that public buses will follow the schedule used on weekends and official holidays. During the holiday, there will also be extra-regional and intercity trips.
