Post by: Pratik Kumar

In the year 2024, tourism in the UAE made a big amount of money — AED 45 billion from hotels. This is 3% more than the money made last year. The Minister of Economy, Mr. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, shared this good news. He said the country’s smart thinking and strong plans helped make tourism better.

He said the UAE worked hard to build clean and strong rules that help tourism grow. These steps made travel nicer for people and also helped the country’s economy become smarter and more modern.

People staying in hotels also went up. In 2024, hotels across the UAE were 78% full on average. This number is one of the best, not only in the Gulf area but also in the world.

In the same year, 16 new hotels opened across all seven emirates. By the end of 2024, the UAE had 1,251 hotels in total. Also, hotel rooms in the country became more — there were 216,966 rooms by the end of the year, which is 3% more than before.

The number of people staying in hotels also grew. About 30.8 million guests stayed in UAE hotels in 2024. This shows a 9.5% rise from the past year.

This also means the UAE has already reached 77% of its big tourism goal set for the year 2031. And the best part is — they did this 7 years early. This proves that tourism in the UAE is growing fast and strong.
