The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Solo, Indonesia, did many good things during the month of Ramadan. They worked together with the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation from the UAE. These kind actions helped many people in the city of Banda Aceh, Indonesia.

This was part of the mosque’s yearly Ramadan plan. They work every year with groups from the UAE to help people in different parts of Indonesia.
In Banda Aceh this year, they gave 2,000 meals every day for iftar (the meal Muslims eat after sunset during Ramadan). They also gave food rations to many families and meat to around 1,300 families.
They also gave religious lessons each day during Ramadan. Around 200 students from different universities joined special Quran classes. A big Quran reading event was held, and 2,000 people came. In the last 10 days of Ramadan, special night prayers like Tahajjud and Qiyam al-Layl were held. They also gave suhoor meals (early morning meals before fasting) to people who stayed at mosques. Around 60 volunteers helped with all these activities.
Dr. Sultan Faisal Al Rumaithi, the boss of the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Solo, said:
“We planned these things to make Ramadan special and to make the friendship between UAE and Indonesia stronger. Our bond is built on kindness, helping others, and doing good things together.”
He also said the mosque is now one of the most respected places in the area. It is a place for learning about Islam and sharing culture between the two countries.
Dr. Al Rumaithi thanked the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for helping with food and support during Ramadan. He said, “People in Indonesia love to celebrate Ramadan. These events show how much they follow the teachings of peace and love, just like the old Islamic teachers did. This is one reason Indonesia is the biggest Muslim country in the world.”
The Khalifa Foundation also said they were proud to join in the Ramadan help. They want to keep alive the generous spirit of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder of the UAE. They believe helping people during Ramadan is very important.
The foundation also said these good acts show the kind values of the UAE — to always help others and bring people together. Working with the Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Solo, they hope to help more people and spread kindness and friendship between all.
