The UAE's Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office has forged a strategic partnership with Rittal FZE, a subsidiary of RITTAL GmbH & Co. KG based in Herborn, Germany. This collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), aims to advance various AI initiatives and bolster the digital infrastructure of the UAE through joint international efforts.
The MOU signing took place during the AI Retreat 2024, a significant event aimed at accelerating AI adoption. Saqr Binghalib, Executive Director of the UAE’s AI, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, and Syed Tahir Nazir, Managing Director of Rittal FZE, finalized the agreement amidst the participation of over 2,000 decision-makers, experts, and officials from government and private sectors. The retreat was organized by the Dubai Center for AI Applications in collaboration with the National Program for Artificial Intelligence.

Highlighting the UAE government's commitment to fostering talent and innovation, Saqr Binghalib emphasized the importance of public-private partnerships in positioning the UAE as a global AI hub. He underscored the partnership's role in supporting national strategies focused on developing future skills and equipping the workforce with digital capabilities.
Syed Tahir Nazir affirmed Rittal FZE's dedication to supporting the UAE's AI vision, emphasizing their commitment to capacity building, knowledge enhancement, and technological advancements. He highlighted Rittal's initiatives in Robotics, Industry 4.0 systems, and Green Technologies, aiming to contribute to environmental sustainability and community welfare through innovative solutions.
The agreement aims to align with the UAE Strategy for AI, focusing on enhancing productivity, fostering research and development, and nurturing AI talents. It also seeks to enrich the coding ecosystem by organizing training programs and fostering collaboration among youth, experts, and technology enthusiasts. This collaboration is poised to drive digital transformation and pave the way for a future driven by technological innovation in the UAE and beyond.
