The recent launch of the Hatta Winter 2024 initiative, overseen by the Supreme Committee to Oversee the Development of Hatta, has provided a significant boost to small and emerging businesses, allowing them to showcase their unique offerings to visitors from across the UAE and beyond. This year’s event supports participating businesses, helping them explore new growth opportunities and expand their market presence, in line with Dubai’s efforts to promote entrepreneurship.
Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, has played a pivotal role in providing entrepreneurs with the opportunity to present their products to residents and visitors attending the five festivals across Hatta as part of the initiative. The Hatta Winter showcase features 30 projects from Brand Dubai’s Proudly from Dubai network, aimed at supporting emerging ventures and promoting innovation in Dubai’s entrepreneurial culture.
Khawla Al Hashemi, a member of the Organising Committee, highlighted the event’s value for Proudly from Dubai entrepreneurs, noting the large audience it attracts. Last year, over 500,000 visitors attended, creating a significant market for businesses, many led by young entrepreneurs from Hatta. This aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, benefiting the local economy and tourism potential.

The Hatta Winter initiative consists of five festivals, offering a range of community, cultural, and entertainment activities. These include the Hatta Winter Festival, the Hatta Cultural Nights, Hatta Honey Festival, Hatta Agricultural Festival, and Hatta x DSF. Each event features a diverse array of products from Proudly from Dubai businesses, providing visitors with unique experiences.
Participating entrepreneurs expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase their products, which include textiles, apparel, food and beverages, and handcrafted ethnic items. Visitors can enjoy a variety of offerings, from innovative coffee drinks to Asian cuisine, burgers, pastries, and desserts. Additionally, ten enterprises from the ‘Projects of Emirati Families Products’ initiative are showcasing traditional Emirati goods, including perfumes, incense, and jalabiyas, enriching Hatta’s local culture.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is supporting the initiative with the ‘Hatta Express’ bus service, providing 14 daily trips from Dubai to Hatta, along with over 1,100 dedicated parking spaces and shuttle buses to transport visitors to the event venues.
