Susan Fang debuts in Milan with designs inspired by her mother's joy

The last day of Milan Fashion Week was bright and full of joy as designer Susan Fang showed her new collection. The show took place under a beautiful arch of shining, colorful flowers. Famous fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana supported her collection.

Fang got her ideas from her mother’s childhood in a small village in China. She used pictures from her mother’s paintings to create her designs. After the show, Fang said she wanted to show how culture is shared through family and art. Designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, who helped with her collection, praised her work.

Her clothes had dreamy pictures, like pink cherry blossoms in a bright blue sky and flowing water on deep blue fabric. Some dresses were made with colorful fabric strips stacked like a rainbow cake. Fang said these dresses gave a "bouncy feeling of happiness."

Fang started her brand in 2017 after studying at Central Saint Martins. She loves to try new materials in fashion. One special dress in the collection looked like a big daisy, made of small bead flowers on a 3D frame.

With help from Dolce & Gabbana’s skilled workers, Fang was able to use new materials like denim and sequins. She also improved her tailoring skills. This allowed her to mix art, nature, and feelings in her fashion designs.

Her collection was full of warm and happy emotions. It was a perfect way to end Milan Fashion Week with beauty and imagination.
