Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted the Pran Pratistha ceremony for the new Ram Lalla idol at Ayodhya's Ram Mandir, dressed in a golden kurta and cream dhoti, alongside RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat. The event, attended by notable figures like Amitabh Bachchan and Mukesh Ambani, marked a milestone in the temple's construction, celebrated globally with heightened security.
Following the pran pratishtha ceremony, the Ram Janmabhoomi temple will be open to the public from January 23. Daily visits are anticipated, with devotees seeking darshan during scheduled sessions. Free passes for the aarti are available offline and online, with details on the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra website.
Essential details for the Ram Mandir visit:
The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir, built in the Nagara style, is 380 feet long, 250 feet wide, and 161 feet high. It stands on 392 pillars, featuring 44 doors, adorned with intricate sculptures of Hindu deities. The main sanctum sanctorum houses the idol of Shri Ramlalla, Bhagwan Shri Ram's childhood form.
The Mandir includes five Halls (Mandaps) and the historic Sita koop Well. Kuber Tila houses the ancient Mandir of Bhagwan Shiv. The Mandir's foundation uses traditional technology, devoid of iron, with a granite plinth to guard against ground moisture.
Essential facilities include a sewage treatment plant, water treatment plant, water supply for fire safety, and an independent power station. The Mandir's construction aligns with traditional and indigenous technology.
