His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance met Alexander Caedmon Karp, Co-Founder and CEO of Palantir Technologies, in his office to discuss strategies to enhance AI and digital transformation throughout the UAE.
During the meeting, Sheikh Maktoum emphasized the UAE's commitment to collaborating closely with leading technology companies worldwide to hasten the adoption of more advanced digital tools in the country. He said that the UAE remains focused on developing world-class infrastructure and is dedicated to facilitating a business-friendly environment leading to innovation and growth. He spoke about the vision of a future powered by technology.
The discussion was on how both parties could collaborate to develop strategic projects that would help form the UAE's technology sector. This is in line with the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which aims to position the UAE as a global leader in AI and digital advancements.

The event was attended by several key officials, including His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Group. Other participants in attendance were His Excellency Mohammed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, the minister of state for financial affairs; His Excellency Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, minister of state for artificial intelligence, digital economy, and remote work applications; His Excellency Helal Saeed Al Marri, director general of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism; His Excellency Essa Kazim, governor of the Dubai International Financial Centre; and Amit Kaushal, Group CEO of Dubai Holding.
The meeting reinforced the UAE's commitment towards digital transformation and using artificial intelligence in driving innovation and economic growth. The leaders went on to discuss how AI might help beget a new world of innovation in sectors and how the UAE will continue to attract the world's top technology firms to contribute to its rapid-growing digital economy.
