Ajith Kumar’s new movie *Vidaamuyarchi* hit theaters on Thursday, February 6, and made a big splash at the Box Office.

The film, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, earned INR 22 crores on its first day. The movie showed good attendance, with 58.81% of seats filled during the morning shows. In the afternoon and evening, more people came, with 60.27% and 54.79% of the seats filled. The movie did especially well in Trichy and Pondicherry, where most people came to watch it, at 92.00% and 91.67%. In Chennai, the attendance was 88.33%.

*Vidaamuyarchi* is based on a 1997 Hollywood movie called *Breakdown*. Along with Ajith Kumar, the movie stars Arjun Sarja, Trisha Krishnan, Regina Cassandra, Arav, and Ramya Subramaniam.
