The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) has started a new service called the MS Helpline in the UAE. This helpline will help people with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) by giving them information about MS doctors and hospitals in the UAE. It will also give emotional support, mental health checks, and gather important information to make the NMSS programs better.

This service has support from Mubadala Foundation and is being managed by M42. The helpline will give guidance and confidential help to anyone who has MS or their family members.
The MS Helpline can be contacted by calling 800 677. It is the first helpline of its kind in the UAE that supports MS patients. The helpline will work every day from 10 am to 10 pm. People can get help with finding resources, talking to doctors, and getting advice about MS clinics.
His Excellency Ahmed Taleb Al Shamsi, CEO of the Emirates Foundation and Vice Chair of NMSS, said: "The UAE is working to make healthcare better for everyone. With the MS Helpline, people with MS and their caregivers can get the help and resources they need to live better."
He also said that the helpline is the first service like this in the region and will improve over time with help from feedback. He added that partnerships are important to support MS patients and their families in the UAE.
Mansour Ahmed Al Ketbi, Deputy Chief Corporate and Human Capital Officer at Mubadala, showed his support for the helpline. He said: "We are proud to support this helpline with money for the next three years. This shows our promise to support people with MS and improve their daily lives."
Mubadala Foundation will give money for three years to support the MS Helpline.
Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, the Managing Director of M42 and Chairman of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, shared his thoughts too. He said: "We are happy to work with NMSS to bring this helpline to the MS community in the UAE. This helpline will give guidance, help, and support to MS patients and their families to make their lives better."
The MS Helpline is also part of the National MS Coalition, which was introduced on World MS Day in May 2024. This group works to make plans, share knowledge, and create programs to improve life for MS patients. The helpline is one of the first steps to make these plans a reality.
The MS Helpline will be available every day from 10 am to 10 pm. It will give mental health support, advice, and important resources for MS patients and their families. This new helpline is the first of its kind in the UAE and is supported by M42, NMSS, Mubadala Foundation, and the UAE government. It will make it easier for people affected by MS to get help when they need it.
