Miral, a well-known company in Abu Dhabi that runs entertainment and tourism places, has launched a new plan called the Sustainability Strategy. This plan is important because it shows Miral’s effort to help the environment and society. The company wants to be a leader in creating eco-friendly entertainment and tourism by 2030. The plan also supports the UAE’s goal to reduce carbon emissions to zero by 2050.

Miral has always cared about the environment, and this new plan focuses on making the future better for everyone. The company wants to make its attractions, like those on Yas Island and Saadiyat Island, examples of how to be environmentally friendly. Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, the CEO of Miral, said that making sustainability a main focus is important for the company to grow in the right way. The plan will also help the UAE reach its goal to have zero carbon emissions by 2050.

This Sustainability Strategy is based on reviewing how Miral works today and how it wants to grow in the future. The plan focuses on three main things: creating the best sustainable attractions, running the business in an eco-friendly way, and making their destinations leaders in sustainability. Miral wants to give visitors experiences that teach them about the environment and culture. For example, the Qasr Al Watan and Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Center help raise awareness about protecting nature.

A big goal of the plan is to reduce carbon emissions. Miral wants to lower its carbon footprint by 2030 to support the UAE’s goal of zero emissions by 2050. This will be done by using less energy, switching to renewable energy, and designing new buildings to be more eco-friendly. The company will also work on saving water and reducing waste to avoid sending it to landfills.

Miral cares about the well-being of its workers too. The company wants to make the workplace diverse, offer jobs to local people, and support employees in their growth. Miral also makes sure construction workers are treated fairly and work in safe conditions. The company works with other businesses to encourage tourism that helps the environment and provides better transport options.

Miral has already started many projects that show its commitment to sustainability. For example, it has the largest solar rooftop in the UAE at Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. This solar power system gives up to 64% of the park’s electricity during the best hours of the day. Other solar panels are also at SeaWorld Yas Island and Yas Bay. The Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Center works with the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi to protect marine life and rescue animals.

Hilton Abu Dhabi, Yas Island, makes drinkable water from the air, and The WB Abu Dhabi hotel is putting in a farm to grow fresh vegetables. SeaWorld Yas Island has reduced single-use plastics and plans to stop using them completely soon.

Miral’s plan also includes other goals for the future. These include creating rules to make all new buildings more eco-friendly, improving energy and water use by 3% each year, and using 100% treated wastewater for non-drinking purposes by 2030. The company is also working on a plan to encourage green transportation and reduce the use of private cars. Miral is making a roadmap to become carbon neutral and reach zero emissions.

This Sustainability Strategy shows that Miral is serious about being a leader in eco-friendly tourism. The company is committed to working together, being creative, and being transparent. Miral hopes this plan will help create a better future for the tourism industry and support the UAE’s goal of zero carbon emissions by 2050.
