Mansoor bin Mohammed Attends Dubai T100 World Tour Final

Marten Van Riel from Belgium and Taylor Knibb from the USA won the first-ever T100 World Championship titles at the Dubai T100 World Tour Final. The event was held at the famous Meydan Racecourse and featured top athletes competing in a big endurance race.

Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council (DSC), attended the event to watch the men’s race. He praised the athletes for their hard work and skills. Sheikh Mansoor also talked about how the event shows Dubai’s ability to host world-class sports events, making the city famous for sports worldwide.

He said that events like this also show the great work done by the UAE’s people and the excellent sports facilities in Dubai. He also mentioned that Dubai is focused on creating a lively and welcoming place for sports.

In the men’s race, Marten Van Riel from Belgium won the T100 World Championship title with a time of 3 hours, 9 minutes, and 17 seconds. This victory added to his successful season, which included wins in San Francisco and Ibiza. In the women’s race, Taylor Knibb from the USA gave an outstanding performance, winning both the race and the overall series title.

Both Van Riel and Knibb were given their trophies by His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, Sam Renouf, CEO of the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO), and Antonio Arimany, President of World Triathlon.

The event also featured a 100km Age Group race, where over 3,400 athletes from 63 countries competed. These athletes raced on the same course as the pros, and many people came to watch and cheer.

In the women’s age-group race, Caroline Bridges from the UK finished first with a time of 4 hours, 2 minutes, and 27 seconds. In the men’s race, Quentin Amaral, a UAE resident, took the top spot with a time of 3 hours, 25 minutes, and 46 seconds.

The Race Village at the Meydan Racecourse was full of fun activities for families, including entertainment, music, and brand displays. It was a great day for everyone involved, celebrating sports and the community spirit.
